This little EP was conceived and created during my stay at the Hambidge Center in beautiful northern Georgia this past April. I spent a lot of my time there sitting on the back porch of Garden Studio, thinking, writing, listening to the birds. Something felt right about sending these songs into the world straight from the drawing board, so here it is: “at garden studio” — two originals, an improvisation, and an Arthur Russell cover, interspersed with field recordings from the forest that surrounded me.
